As a result of these changes you have three choices...
1 – If you need to maintain or increase your revenue share to support your call centre operation.
You need to change your 0870 number to a 0871 number.
ITC offer 0871 numbers from the Cable and Wireless and Kingston Communication networks (both established for over 100 years). We offer call payments to businesses of up to 6.0p per minute.
Please Note:
0870 = Call charges are 8p per minute daytime – rebate to stop in early 2008
0871 = Call charges are 5p to 10p per minute daytime – rebate to continue
Note – In 2008 0871 numbers will be classified as Premium rate numbers.
2 – If you can accept a reduction to the amount of revenue share to support your call centre operation.
You need to change your 0870 number to a 0844 number.
ITC offer 0844 numbers from the Cable and Wireless and Kingston Communication networks (both established for over 100 years). We offer call payments to businesses of up to 2.3p per minute.
Please Note:
0870 = Call charges are 8p per minute daytime – rebate to stop in early 2008
0844 = Call charges are 2p to 5p per minute daytime – rebate to continue
3 – Accept the loss of your revenue share.
You can retain your present 0870 number
Telecoms operators will also be losing their portion of revenue share and so will be charging businesses a rental for the use of these numbers.
UK businesses will need to conduct a review of their telecoms strategy, taking into account the options available before deciding on the most appropriate numbering strategy for the future.
If you would like some advice on your telephone needs please email contact@it-cts.com with your details. We will arrange for a telecommunications consultant to contact you.
